Daily Readings for Mass

Just a reminder that we have Junior Liturgy offered at the 9am SHM Mass on Sunday (with Cheryl Freeman & Colleen MacAlister) and starting the 1st Sunday of Lent (Feb 26th) we'll be offering the same at the 11am SHJ Mass (with Sandra Palma, Patricia Brownson & April Brownson) These faithful adults have been properly screened for dealing with children. All children between KG & Gr. 3 are invited to attend the Liturgy of the Word for children during the first 20 mins of Holy Mass. This will be an opportunity for the children to pray and hear the readings from the Bible with an explanation and an appropriate activity geared to their age level. As we've already been doing at SHM, the children will be called forward by the priest at the beginning of Mass and then gather in front of the community where they will be sent forth to go with the leaders to O'Neill Parish Hall or SHJ's basement hall. They will return after the Prayers of the Faithful to sit again with parents for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Nota bene: If the children are uneasy to go outside/downstairs alone for the first time, a parent may accompany the child during that first session, but it is not recommended that parents accompany the child every Sunday. We hope that they will become accustomed to being on their own. If you have any questions you may contact the leaders.

• Had a beautiful afternoon with some of the altar servers go-karting at Crowe Karts. Thanks to Robin Gillis-Woof, Luke Brownson and Fr. Price for chaperoning. Looking forward to having Noah & Jude Brownson serving Mass, and very sad to hear that Hunter and Martin Gillis will be moving to Alberta in a few weeks. They've been faithful and good servers and we were blessed to have them on the altar. This makes Luke W, Ashton O & Jesse G the veterans.
